Women of Heart meet in-person May 7

After two years of Covid precautions, Mt Zion’s Women of Heart have decided to go back to meeting in-person on the first Saturday of the month, starting May 7. The meetings will be held in the Hearth Room at 8:30am.

For the last two years of Covid, the group met on Zoom to avoid in-person contact, but had decided to meet every week instead of every month. Now everyone misses the get-togethers at church, and yet hate to give up the weekly meetings on Zoom where we could get up and tune in without the travel. We decided to do both.

Meet in person once a month and on Zoom all other Saturdays

Our plan is to meet at church on first Saturday of the month and on Zoom all other Saturdays. All meetings are at 8:30 am. We plan to format the study so that you can either choose to attend all meetings, or only occasionally. The in-person meetings will not be on Zoom. If you are unable to attend all meetings, we will bring you up to speed when you can make it. 

We will be starting a study of Acts in May, using the book “Acts for Everyone, Part 1” by N.T. Wright. Part 1 includes Chapters 1-12 of Acts, and the group will decide later if we will move on to Part 2 (the rest of Acts) or go to another subject. It is not necessary to have a copy of the book in order to attend.

The group is for all women (and girls) of Mt Zion, all ages and is a great way to connect with other members. Our studies are informal,  conversational, and we learn a lot from one another and from the study material.
