The service experience that I took the most from was Hermitage Community Garden, where we were exposed to the food deserts in the surrounding communities, in which this garden was helping families, elderly, and veterans get fresh vegetation because their local grocery stores don’t provide it. A fun experience that I had in Chicago was when all of us went swimming in Lake Michigan, the waves were lots of fun as was getting to know everyone a little bit more.

What an amazing experience.  The teens worked so hard and never complained.  Working at project cure made me feel like I had a small part in helping the people of Ukraine get the medical supplies they so desperately need.

During this youth mission trip we had a lot of fun helping out at hermitage community garden which produces vegetation and food for elderly and poor people that can’t afford food; we also helped out at project cure which supplied medical supplies to countries in need. Besides all of the service work we did, we would go out to dinner every night and we even got to go to the beach and color factory.
