Pub(lic) theology is a group that meets at public locations, such as a bar, pub, brewery, or restaurant, to talk about faith.
These meetings are much more informal than your normal Bible studies, and the topics are meant to be conversational dialogues about questions people really have in this world. "Is it OK to take the vaccine?" "Are angels real?" "Why does God allow pandemics?" "When am I allowed to kill (am I?)?" "If I could ask God one question, what would it be?" "Do I always have to apologize?" "What makes a Christian different from everyone else?" "What difference does prayer make?" We always try to reference Scripture for wisdom and inspiration, but our starting point is the questions people are actually asking (both people in the Church and people outside the Church).
We usually meet at Ferch's Crafthouse Grille (418 N Mayfair Rd, Wauwatosa, WI 53226) on the third Thursday of each month at 5pm, but check our calendar to confirm a specific date/location.
