Welcome to Mt Zion Lutheran Church!

Here we are joyfully growing disciples in Christ so that everyone we meet comes to know themselves as a reflection of God, worthy of life and love. And that includes you!

Whether you join us for worship, volunteer at Tosa Cares, use our space for a community gathering, or seek our help, we hope here you discover what we already know is true: you are a reflection of God, worthy of life and love.

We look forward to meeting you soon!

Grace and peace,
Pastor Tyler

Questions & Answers

Here are some answers to common questions.

Our primary worship service is at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings. This service combines traditional hymnody and liturgical music with contemporary praise music. All services are communion celebrations, a central Lutheran practice that is our regular reminder of the grace God gives us in baptism.

On Christmas Eve (12/24), we will hold two special worship services:  4pm Family service and 8pm Candlelight service.

During some seasons, such as Advent or Lent, we add a midweek worship service on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm (usually preceded by a light supper). During the summer, some of our services will be held outdoors on the west lawn, weather permitting.

Yes! Yes, you are welcome here. Everyone is welcome here. Who you are is important to us, but there is no aspect of your identity that would cause us to turn you away. We will welcome you no matter your gender identity, race, sexual orientation, abilities, criminal history, politics, faith, or any other aspect of you.  We affirm you as a fellow child of God and sibling in Christ, worthy of life and love, and you are welcome to full participation in everything Mt Zion has to offer.

No matter who you are, you are welcome here.

Absolutely! Everyone is welcome here, including all ages.

We make intentional space for children at Mt Zion. Whether it's physical spaces, like our nursery, library, Sunday school rooms, prayground, or youth group -- or it's what we do, including a children's time during worship, drinks and snacks kids like at fellowship, or having seats that are the right size for children -- we make intentional space for children at Mt Zion.

We are located at 12012 W North Ave in Wauwatosa. This places us on the border of Milwaukee and Waukesha counties, just a few blocks off of I-41 and only a couple miles north of I-94.

Our main parking lot is located in the back of the church (on the north side of the building). You can access it by turning down 120th St or, if you are in the westbound lane of North Ave, by turning in the drive at the end of our parking lot and driving around to the back of the building.

When you park, the main entrance is at the double doors at the end of the covered walkway (look for the blue "please enter here" sign).

If you have any other questions or need additional help, feel free to call our office at 414-258-0456.

If you need help on Sunday mornings, our hospitality volunteers - the greeters and the ushers - would be glad to help you with anything you need. Or, honestly, simply ask the closest person to you. Everyone here at Mt Zion values welcoming and including those who visit our community and would be glad to be of assistance.
